Sometimes self care looks like working out; and sometimes it looks like sitting still.
Sometimes self care looks like waking up early; and sometimes it looks like sleeping in.
Sometimes self care looks like drinking water; and sometimes it looks like chugging coffee.
Sometimes self care looks like being outside; and sometimes it looks like watching your favorite show.
Sometimes self care looks like going out with family or friends; and sometimes it looks like staying home by yourself.
Sometimes self care looks like deep cleaning the house; and sometimes it looks like giving yourself permission to leave the mess for tomorrow.
Sometimes self care looks like snuggling up with the kids; and sometimes it looks like a bubble bath in peace.
Sometimes self care looks like cooking a healthy meal…
And sometimes it looks like eating an entire chocolate chip muffin.
My point is, taking care of yourself isn’t just one thing, and it’s not supposed to be.
Listen to your body.
Listen to your brain.
Listen to the Holy Spirit.
And take a few minutes to take care of you today, whatever it may look like.
