The Power of Prayer

The Power of Prayer

Prayer.

It can feel daunting at times, can’t it?

I think it can feel overwhelming because we like to overcomplicate it.

We tend to think that prayer is only for those moments where our eyes are closed and our hands are folded. Prayer is only for those moments where it’s quiet with no distractions. It’s only for those moments when we have the words to express what we’re feeling.

But ya wanna know a secret? Prayer is SO much more than that.

Prayer is yelling out to God for patience when you’re about to lose it on your toddler.

Prayer is whispering for grace when your hubby is late from work, again.

Prayer is talking to Him on the car ride to the grocery store.

Prayer is crying in complete silence when you just don’t have the words.

Prayer is simply inviting God into your moment. However loud, distracting, messy, or imperfect it is.

Don’t get me wrong, there’s so much power in quiet, intentional times with Jesus, and it’s important for us to carve out time in our days to pursue Him without distraction.
But those moments of peace aren’t the only place for prayers to be spoken.

God so desperately desires for us to call on His name, no matter what it looks like.
Your prayers don’t have to be perfect. He already is.

So go ahead. Pray away. Invite Him into the chaos. I promise He’ll be so happy you called… and He’ll be faithful to answer.
