I blinked, and now this baby is headed to kindergarten.
KINDERGARTEN.
Time is an absolute thief.
And honestly, mamas, I don’t even know how to process all the emotions inside my body right now.
Part of me is truthfully relieved that she’s going back to school, because let’s be real – five year old girls are FIERCE. The stubbornness and disobedience has me at my wits end at this point.
But the other half of me? She’s gutted. She can’t stinking believe we’ve reached this milestone already.
And now I’m here thinking to myself,
Did I spend enough time with her?
Did I hug her enough?
Did I say “I love you” enough?
Did I listen enough?
Did I embrace her enough?
Did I pay enough attention to her stories and millions of questions?
Does she know how much I adore her?
Does she know how proud of her I am?
Does she know I would do absolutely anything for her?
Does she know how much joy she brings my heart?
Does she know how much purpose she brings to my days?
Does she know that she’s one of the very best gifts God’s ever given me?
I sure hope so.
Oh boy, do I hope so.
Sweet girl, mama hopes you have the best day ever and I can’t stinking wait to see all you’re going to learn this year. I love you oodles and bunches and then some.
