She Will Not Fall

She Will Not Fall

This is so much more than a tattoo to me.
This is my story.

It is my declaration of God’s goodness. It’s my constant reminder of all I’ve walked through, and how I’ve come out the other side.

I used to be such an insecure person. A person who cared way too much about what other people thought. A person who was paralyzed by fear and worry. A person who didn’t know who she was or what she was supposed to do in life.

She put her identity in the wrong places. She doubted every decision she ever made. She held onto past hurts and carried that weight on her shoulders. And the voices she was constantly fighting slowly suffocated every single one of her relationships.

She so desperately wanted out, but had absolutely no idea how to do it. She felt like she was lost with no return.

But oh, how faithful her God is.

He graciously carried her through every single detail. He held her through every attack and caught every tear. He taught her how to hear his voice above the noise. He showed her how to let go of the opinions of others. He strengthened her in his own image, and revealed who she’d always been in him.

His love for her allowed her to love herself.

She is no longer controlled by her anxiety, because she fully knows who is writing her story, and trusts his plans over her own. She is fearless, she is free, she is secure, and she is loved, because she is his.

She will not give up.

She will not stop fighting.

She will not lose hope.

She will not fall, for he is within her, and his victory is already hers.

God is within her; she will not fall. God will help her at break of day. Psalm 46:5
