Something I’m trying to get better at as I get over is fighting my “all-or-nothing” mentality.
A handful of minutes with Jesus is better than no minutes with Jesus.
A quick walk around the block is better than not moving my body at all.
Listening to half a podcast is better than not listening to any of it.
Reading a few pages of a book is better than not reading it at all.
Eating one serving of fruit or vegetables is better than not eating any.
Getting one errand checked off the list is better than not attempting to get any of them done.
A little really is better than nothing.
It’s too easy for me to feel like if I can’t do what I want to do to the extent that I’d like to do it, then it’s not wroth doing at all. But I’m learning that couldn’t be further from the truth.
Honestly, I think the enemy likes us to park our minds in that spot so we’ll stay complacent, not ever seeing the value in small steps. But those small steps? They create healthy habits. And those healthy habits are what become the stepping stones to a victorious and prosperous life.
Join me in fighting the “all-or-nothing” mentality, won’t you?
Because I’m beginning to believe that a little bit is actually a whole lot more than we think.
