There’s Something About A Sister

There’s Something About A Sister

I grew up with two older brothers. And let me tell ya, I have the best in the world.

They looked out for me and protected me.
They came to performances and cheered me on.
They gave me Godly advice that has stuck with me to this day.

Even now that we’re all grown up with families of our own, they still send texts and make phone calls and prioritize time with me.

They have without a doubt impacted my life in a positive way and I’m so incredibly blessed to call them mine.

But now that I’m a mama to two little girls, I get the privilege of seeing the magic of sisterhood. And let me tell you, it is MAGIC.

These two girls right here? They are already the best of friends.
Even with a decently large age gap.
Even with completely opposite personalities.
Even with different talents.

They are literally two peas in a pod. And oh how it blesses my heart immeasurably.

I can’t personally understand the bond between them. That wasn’t part of my story. But it is clearly evident that God knew they needed each other to journey through this life together.

I’m so dang thankful my girls have each other – and I pray with all my heart that they stay this close forever.

Because I am fully convinced that there is just something about a sister.
